To enrich pupils’ knowledge about food; to develop pupils’ abilities. 2. To develop pupils’ oral and written communication skills and habits; to improve pronunciation and translation skills; to motivate individual and pair work. 3. To bring up feelings of friendship and respect in relationship between pupils. Type of the lesson: presentation lesson Equipments: interactive board, slides,textbook, workbook, placards, pictures, crossword. Methods of teaching: explaining, question–answer, individual and pair work, warm- up, tongue-twister, rhymes, games. Procedure of the lesson I. Organization moment a) Greeting - Good morning children! - Good morning teacher! - How are you? – I am o’k. II. Warm up Let’s sing a song “Hello song” (Track 2) Hello, hello, hello how are you? Hello, hello, hello how are you? I’m fine, I’m great, I’m wonderful. I’m fine, I’m great, I’m wonderful. Tongue-twister. I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE-CREAM. Rhyme about potato 1 potato, 2 potatoes, 3 potatoes 4 5 potatoes, 6 potatoes, 7 potatoes more. III. Revising the plural forms of nouns 1 apple 2 apples 3 apples 4 apples 5 apples Work with the placard 1 cherry, 2 kiwis, 3 peaches, 4 apricots, 5 plums, 6 lemons, 7 pears, 8 apples, 9 oranges,10 bananas IV. Revising the colours Red, yellow, green, purple, brown , blue, white, pink , black, orange Work with the placard -What colour is the apple?- It is red. - What colour is banana? –It is yellow. - What colour is pear?-It is orange. - What colour is pear?-It is purple. Let’s sing a song “Rainbow song” (Track 15) Rainbow song Red, orange, yellow, green Blue, purple, pink. It’s a rainbow. It’s a rainbow. Beautiful rainbow in the sky. V. Collecting the food, fruits and drinks into the baskets Pupils collect apple, banana, cherry, orange and put them into the fruit basket. Pupils collect juice, milk, coffee, lemonade, water and put them into the drink basket. Pupils collect sandwich, sausage, rice, salad, pizza, cake and put them into the food basket. VI. Playing “The apple game” Pupils find the words of food in the word chain. Who finds many words will be a champion. VII. Game “Who draws best?” Pupils draw the pictures of food. Who draws best he or she will be a champion. X. Making up short dialogues about food. - Hello. Aruzhan. - Hi Arsen. -How are you? - I’m o’k. And you? - I’m fine. Would you like some juice? - Yes please. Would you like an apple? - No, thank you. I’m full. XI. Matching the pictures with the words. Banana Apple Water Milk Pizza Chocolate Ice-cream Coffee Sandwich Cookies XII. Preparing a fruit salad Aruzhan and Ayazhan will prepare the fruit . Aruzhan takes 2 apples 2 pears. Ayazhan takes 2 bananas, 2 kiwis, 2 oranges. Aruzhan washs apples and pears. Ayazhan peels bananas, kiwis, oranges. Girls cut the fruits. They put the fruits into the bowl. Ayazhan puts some yogurt. Aruzhan mixs the fruit together. The fruit salad is ready. Girls give the salad to taste to the guests. XIII. Scanword.
