The theme of the lesson: «Omar likes English». The aims of the lesson: a) educational: to explain the grammar materials, to consolidate students knowledge concerning the theme b) breeding: to increase students interest to English c) developing to develop students abilities and skills in monologue speech through asking and answering questions, doing of different exercises. To develop the students speaking, reading and writing habits, teaching to express their own opinions on the subject. The type of the lesson: Combined and Revision lesson The visual aids: Interactive board, pictures, slides and cards. The methods of the lesson: Asking and answering, reading and speaking, group work, pair work, dialogue. Procedure of the lesson: I. Organization moment -Good morning, children! -How are you? -Who is on duty today? -Who is absent? Warm up Zebra, zebra What is right? White on black Or black on white. II. Checking up the homework -Now, students, I’ll ask you studied materials and dialogues. Answer the questions: •What season is it now? •What month is it now? •What day is it today? •What date is it today? •What does your father do? •What does your mother do? III. Presentation of the new materials: T: Today we have an unusual lesson. We have demonstrative lesson. Today we have guests. Our lesson will be very interesting and useful. The theme of our lesson is “Omar likes English”. So today we’ll continue to speak about your favourite school subjects. We’ll speak about the grammar material “Present Continuous Tense”, learn the new words and use them in speech. OK. Last lesson we talked about days of week. Look at the board, you can see the diagram. What words are connected with the words “Days of week”? T: Children, answer at my questions. What day of the week is it today? What day before Friday? What day after Friday? We don’t sing songs or jump.(Maths) -In this subject we run, jump, skip and play football. We don’t make toys or watch films about pets.(PE) - In this subject we draw pictures of our friends, teachers and pets. We don’t jump.(Art) - In this subject we read, write, learn the new words, sing songs, play games, talk to our friends, translate the texts. We don’t swim.(English) Reading and writing. Omar likes English Conti: What subjects do you like? Omar: I like English and Maths. And what subjects do you like, Colin? Colin: I like Computer studies, Geography and Science. Omar: Are you good at Science? Colin: Yes, I am. Do you like Science? Omar: No, I don’t. Doing exercises: Ex:1. Listen and repeat Ex:2. Listen and repeat Ex:3.
