Индира Зарипова Lesson 9 Sequence of Tenses. Direct and Indirect Speech. Sequence of Tenses: When the predicate of the Principle clause of a sentence is in the Past Tense, the predicate of the Subordinate clause is in the Past one too. When a sentence changes from Direct Speech to Indirect Speech, it is introduced by a verb in the Past Tense (he said that…). All the verbs are changed from Present Tense to Past Tense. a time to mourn, a time to dance, a time to scatter and a time to gather, a time to embrace, a time to refrain, a time to seek, a time to lose, a time to keep, a time to throw away, a time to tear, a time to sew, a time for a silence and a time for speech, a time for love, a time for hate, a time for war, a time for peace. |

Now they live with me in the palace and nurse my children. I have a son and a daughter. My best friend is miss magic and I am going to become a clever fairy in the future. I want to help all poor girls of the world. |
