| DEMONSTRATIVE LESSON « A TOUR AROUND AKTOBE» the 5 th form Teacher:Cherenkova O.P. THEME: A TOURE AROUND AKTOBE. OBJECTIVES: 1. To teach pupils to speak about their native town using there is/there are 2. To develop pupil s abilities to ask and give directions in short dialogues using polite requests and prepositions of directions. 3. To teach pupils to be polite, to love their native land and their native town. 4. To develop imagination Level: Elementary Class: Pupils shoud be interested in recieving guests and talking about their native town. Time: 1 hour. Accessories: cards, computers, interactive blackboard. PROCEDURE OF THE LESSON. I. WARM-UP T-It is very nice to have friends. Here is the photo of my best friend . She is a teacher too. She lives in the Ukrain. She often visits our town and thinks it is interesting. Show us the photos of your friends and say some words about them. ( the pupils present their friends on the interactive blackboard -презентация фотографий на интерактивной доске) II. ORAL PRACTICE 1. T- Would you like to have one more friend? Ps – Of course Surely With pleasure Certainly 2. Then let” s read the e-mail. ( the pupils work in Internet-учащиеся работают в интернете). Here is the letter for us. Let” s read it. « Dear friends! Boreton is a sad place! There are a lot of hotels and that” s it. There aren” t any good shop s. There isn” t even a library! There is only one club in town – Testosterone. It” s terriable! Oh, and there aren” t any buses in the evening! Boring Boreton! I look forward to hearing from you. Jon, 12» 3. T – Ps Answer my questions. What is his name? What does he live? What kind of town is his town? Why is it boring? 4. T - Let “s invite him to our town. Ps – OK Great That” s a good idea. 5. T - So, at home you will write him a letter - invitation speaking about our town. Let’s invite him to an unusual place in our town. But first look at these signs .Imagine that they can speak. Choose a sign. Prepare a story of it. Write the names of the buildings they mean on the blackboard. (the pupils write the names of the buildings on the interactive blackboard working in two groups- учащиеся составляют рассказы и пишут названия городских зданий на интерактивной доске, работая в 2группах. Данный вид работы проводится в виде игры- соревнования с применением методики ТРИЗ- ассоциации «брошенный камень») (Приложение 1) 6. T- Say if there are such buildings in our town and how many of them we have. Continue the sentenses. ( the pupils work on the interacrive blackboard- учащиеся выполняют задание на интерактивной доске) (Приложение 2) There is ... There are... 7. T- And do you know our town well? Then say what this sign mean. It means that all the things are mixed here. Choose two things , mix them and say where we can use it.(Данный вид работы основан на методике ТРИЗ – фантастической аналогии « Абракадабра» ) 8. T – You will be the guids and you are to be ready to give right directions to our new friend. Let ‘s listen what he can ask us about. ( the pupils listen to the dialogues through the ear-phones using the computers – учащиеся слушают примеры диалогов через наушники, используя компьютер) 9. T – Work in pairs. Make up your own dialogues on the base of the heard dialogues. Use the plan of Aktobe we have completed. (the pupils make up the dialogues and then recite them outloud). III.
