| The party “The treasure island.” For the 5th forms. Stepanenko N.Y. Aims: - To develop creative abilities and abilities to work in groups. - To develop interest in learning English. - To develop pupils’ communication abilities. To develop pupils’ memory, attention, logical mentality. - To form pupils’ positive attitude to the action and learning English. - To educate individuality of the pupils by the acquire of the human worth (sense of liability, regard to each other and foreign culture). - To enlarge the using of pupils’ abilities acquiring in learning English. The plan of the party: I The first competition. ( визитка.) II The second competition. (travelling.) III The third competition. (5 things.) IV The fourth competition. (auding.) V The fifth competition. (puzzles.) VI The sixth competition. (crosswords.) VII The seventh competition. (storytelling.) VIII The result. The procedure of the party: -Good afternoon dear children and our guests. Today we’ll travel to some countries and seas and try to find treasure. Pirate: Treasure?! Who says treasure? I have treasure but I can’t remember where am I hid it? Do you want to help me to find it? (yes) I The first competition. ( визитка.) Pirate: And for my travelling I need two the best sailors. I see two teams here. Let’s have competitions between them. The winner will be my sailors. For our competition we need judges (jury), here they are…………Let’s begin the first competition, where our teams need to introduce themselves. (После каждого конкурса каждой команде даётся какой-либо артефакт) (визитка, после которой в качестве артефакта даются корабли) (в визитку входят фильм о команде, эмблема, девиз) II The second competition. (travelling.) Pirate: So, you have ships and now we are going to Great Britain (на доске картинка Великобритании), and the next competition is for captains. What types of travelling do you know? So, you need to write down the types of travelling. ( На доске слово «Travelling», капитаны команд друг за другом вписывают типы путешествий.) III The third competition. (5 things.) Pirate: I see, you are very good captains. I give you maps for travelling. Now I give you bags and some things in it. You must choose only 5 things and explain why you choose them. (Даются сумки с вещами. Можно взять только 5: какие и почему.) (пока команды решают, что взять ставится сценка) (после выступления команд даётся артефакт «Великобритания») IV The fourth competition. (auding.) (на доске картинка США) Pirate: Oh! We are in the USA. It is the motherland of fast food and basketball. Tom: Hello, children! I see you are foreigners. WELCOME TO THE USA! My name is Tom. I was at the stadium. I played tennis. And now I’m running. Tennis is my favourite game. American people are sporty. They want to be healthy and strong. American people like football and all ball games: basketball, volleyball, soccer or rugby, American football. Of course almost all Americans like swimming. Some American people enjoy cricket and races. But such kinds of games as grass hockey or curling aren’t popular in my country . Sorry, I must run, I haven’t much time. I think you like this country! Good luck! Bye! (учащиеся задают вопросы друг другу по тексту) Pirate: Bye, Tom! What a boy! He speaks so quickly that I can’t understand what games are popular in America? Please, complete the table and tell us about games in the USA. Games, which American people like Games, which some American people enjoy Games, which aren’t popular in America Pirate: While teams complete the table, let’s have our sport competition and play Egg-and-spoon races. Who will be the winner? (учащиеся рассказывают об играх в США и получают артефакт «США») V The fifth competition. (puzzles.) (на доске корабль в шторме) Pirate: Two days our ships were in the centre of storm. We lost our way and came to Africa. (картинка Африки). So you need to exchange your crosswords by the theme “Food” (каждая команда готовит кроссворд команде соперника на тему «еда», как дом. задание) (песня) VII The seventh competition. (storytelling.) Pirate: Oh, I remember. I hid my treasure at the Caribbean Islands. And your task is to make a story of your travelling to the Caribbean Islands and the artifacts help you in it. (Каждая команда составляет рассказ.) - Your travelling is very good. VIII The result. -Now jury tells us who the winner at this party is. Who will be my sailors? | |
