The theme: “My house”

Aids of the lesson: Pictures and interactive board. Form of the lesson: Group work. The procedure of the lesson: 1. Organization moment. 2. Speech drill 3. Warm up 4. Primary stage. 5. Reflection. 5. Ending I. Organization moment. Greetings. II. Speech drill. T: - Who is on duty today? - Who is absent today? - What date is it today? - What day is it today? - What season is it now? - What are the spring months? - What is the weather like today? - Do you like spring? Why? - Thank you! III. Warm up: 1. Puzzle. Find more words concerning to the theme “House”. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, upstairs, dining room, lamp, table, study, living room, dishwasher, corridor. 2. Make plural of these nouns. A sofa-sofas, An armchair- armchairs, A living room - living rooms, A window – windows, A clock – clocks, A table – tables, A carpet – carpets, A plant – plants, A door – doors, A chair – chairs, A lamp – lamps, A picture – pictures. 3. Divide these nouns into countable and uncountable. Countable Uncountable A chair, a lamp, a sofa, a window, a carpet, a door, a picture, a telephone. Milk, juice, meat, coffee, tea, pepsi, salad, lemonade, water, pizza. 4. Odd- one out. Primary stage - Now, let`s start our lesson. 1. “Cluster” Bath room Living room Bed room Dining room Study Kitchen 2. Question – answer. 1. What room is this? 2. Is there a sofa in this room? 3. Is there a mirror in this room? 4. What colour is the wall? 5. What is there on the carpet? 6. Do you like this room? 1. What room is this? 2. Is there a cooker in this room? 3. Is there a chair in this room? 4. What is there on the table? 5. What colour is the furniture? 1. What room is this? 2. What colour is the wall? 3. Is there a stereo in this room? 4. Is there a pillow in this room? 5. What colour is the carpet? 6. Do you like this room? 2. R - I A - My friend. F - A letter T- “My house” Pupils will write a letter to their friends about their houses and room. 3. Group-work. “Venn Diagram” IV. ‘T-chart” + - I like my house. Our house is convenient and modern. It is a two-storied building. I don`t like his house. It`s small, and that’s why he hasn`t his own room. V. Reflection. - Dear students! Today we have talked about “House”. You know, that house isn`t only our living place, it`s the place that gives us warm. Only at home we gather with our families.
