краткосрочный план
Date: 10th grade
Theme: Extra reading. The horses of Botai.
The aim: Students will be able to tell about the horse of Botai.
The tasks: to teach to express opinion in English, to make up the questions and answer, to teach the idioms with the word a horse, to talk about the Kazakh traditions and nationals games with the horse, to teach to work in groups and express opinion, make the assessment for and of learning, to bring up to be active, positive, tolerate, friendly and respect the culture of our nation.

3Setting the aim: We’re going to talk about culture of our country. We’ll read and discuss the text of the animal which lives with people for many centuries and gives people a meal. This animal is a symbol of courage, grace, beauty, speed. Do you know what the animal is? Yes, wings of a dzhigit is his horse. 1Greetings, repeat after the teacher psychological mood
2 The opening speech of a teacher Do you know that there are several types of Kazakh horse. Horse breeds in Kazakhstan: Kushum, Adaev, Jabe, Kustanai, Karabair. Kushum- is one of the most popular types of horse in Kazakhstan. It’s a small horse which can carry a man all day and live through cold winters and hot summers. Adaev-is used for meat and milk, Jabe- the best riding horse, Kustanai-looks like a beautiful racing horse, but it’s not strong. Karabair-the fastest horse.
Questions: What can you say about….? What kind of the horse is used as…? Listen to the teacher then answer the teacher’s questions. To know the Kazakh breeds of the horses Cards, aboard
3 Warm up
Idioms with a word “horse” On the board the cards. Match the idioms with definitions.
o Work like a horse -directly from the person who has the facts.
o Eat like a horse– to support someone or something that cannot win or succeed.
o Beat a dead horse- to eat a lot
o Straight from the horse’s mouth-very strong
o Back the wrong horse- to waste time doing something that has already been done
Reading examples with the idioms and translate: (Laptop)
I heard it straight from the horse`s mouth that our supervisor will be leaving the company next week.
Oh well, I guess we should have known that this marketing campaign wouldn’t work. We just backed the wrong horse this time.

5 Pre-reading task Discussion: -What is Botai? Where is it?
Botai-is a settlement in the Northern part of Kazakhstan in Atyrau region. Scientists have confirmed the horses were domesticated in this place by our ancestry.
It’s interesting to know that our ancestries live in the grounding hills. After a few hundred years people invented the yurts Students’ answers. To know what Botai is and to express opinion Photos on the board
6 Reading of the text
