Greeting learners. Setting positive atmosphere by asking some questions about unusual and interesting journeys across Kazakhstan and around the world • (W) Warm-up: The teacher shows the pupils a picture of 4 photos and 1 word and explains that it is necessary to find a common word that fits each of the four photographs. The correct word must be composed of given letters and be approached by the number of cells into which the word is to be written. Teacher elicits the topic of the lesson. Teacher introduces the learning objectives of the lesson. What is the topic of our lesson today? • (FA) (G) Pre-reading The teacher divides the class into 3 groups using mosaic. Text for group 1 Almaty Apple Festival. Almaty apple festival: September. Celebrating Almaty’s most famous produce in all manners on the Old Square. This traditional event, loved by townspeople and Almaty visitors, is built around the symbol of Almaty - the apple. Tens of thousands of participants come from all over the world to fight in a harmless battle where more than one hundred metric tons of over-ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets.The weeklong festival features music, parades, dancing, and fireworks. International Mango Festival, Delhi is a great opportunity for mango lovers to start the summer season on a fresh and juicy note. The Delhi Mango Festival is held every year, ever since its inception in 1987. It is a level playing field for growers and horticulturists who showcase specialties of mangoes from mango-growing regions such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. Mango growers are encouraged to compete in different categories and in various kinds of competitions. The festival also offers interesting lessons on mango carving.
