We would like to present some information about Great Britain in brief. 1. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. ● Area 244,110 sq km ● Population 57 million people ● Capital London Government The UK is a constitutional monarchy. In law, the Head of the State is the Queen. In practice, the queen reigns, but does not rule. The British flag … known as the Union Lack, is a combination of three flags: the St. Andrew’s cross, the St. Patrick’s cross and the St. George’s cross. The national anthem … is the oldest in the world, established in 1745 and based on the song of the 17th century. It helps people tocommunicate, to learn more about the national character. We are going to talk about the English humour today. It is well-known all over the world. Now, if I say: I’m beautiful.”Which tense is it? -Obviously, it is the past tense. III. Englishmen are not only business-like people but they also different kinds of entertainment.
