Title of the lesson: Unit 7 “My flat” Student profile: Elementary Equipments: English English 5(Student books), grammar books, pictures, cards. The aims of the lesson: 1. To teach pupils to get main information from reading, from other subjects while preparing project work on the theme. 2. To develop oral speech, to improve pronunciation, to train thematic vocabulary; to summarize grammar on plural nouns. 3. To develop speaking, reading and writing skills. Type of the lesson: mixed. Procedure of the lesson: 1 The organization part : T: - Good morning pupils! Take your sits. – Who is on duty today? – Who is absent? - What day of the week is it today? - What date is it today? – What is the weather like today? - What season of the year is it now? 2 Check – up the home task : T: - What was your home task for today? Let s check – up it. a) Pupils write a dictation (quiz) b) Talk about your project ( pupils describe own room) 3 Practice : Revision there is.. / there are.. Make some sentences eg. There is a sofa in my living room. There are six chairs in my kitchen. Revision plural forms of nouns, prepositions of place. 4 Work in groups: ( pupils divide into two groups ) a) There are two groups , each of them have to collect the text in a right order from the cutting pieces. The group which collect first correctly will be a winner . b) Two groups have poems in Russian . The first group read the poem to the second group and the second group has to guess English meaning of the Russian words. Example : Ничего уютней нет Чем моя квартира – flat Все знакомо и привычно На стене картина – picture Чтобы время знать я мог Есть часы большие – clock…. 5 Follow up activities : Discuss with pupils what have we studied at this lesson . T :- What have you understood from this lesson? - What can you do now? - Can you make any sentences using some grammar forms? -Talk about what shall we speak about next lesson. 6 Evaluation : Put the pupils marks into their diaries describing each one. 7 Home assignment : St.book p.129 ex. 13 Look at the pictures read the questions and answers . Make own sentences using countable and uncountable nouns . | |
