(student’s book p. 104-106) Visual aids: Audio Player, pictures, cards. Procedure of the lesson: I. Organization moment II. Warm-up. Find the words: Adnerg – garden Eetr – Orwfle – Geeebatlv – Terwa – Discuss the following questions in groups. • Do you have a garden? • What kind of garden would you like to have? Would you like a garden with vegetables or with flowers? • Do you like working in the garden? III. Pre-reading. Look at the picture.P.104. Study the picture. Write down the new words: • Plant [plænt] – отырғызу (ағаш) • Water [’wɒtər] - Су құю, суару • Whitewash [waɪt wɒʃ] – ақтау, ағарту • Prune [pru:n] –кесу, бұтау (ағашты) • Dead branches – кеуіп кеткен бұтақтар IV.Presentation a) Listen the dialogue b) Read the dialogue in pairs c) True (T) or false (F) • Mike phoned Omar yesterday • Omar and his family were in the garden • Omar’s father was planting flowers • His mother was planting trees • Asel was whitewashing the gate • Omar was pruning dead branches • Omar enjoys working in the garden V.Follow-up a) Write about what Omar’s family was doing on Sunday b) Group work. Tell what the children were doing at 4,5,6 o’clock yesterday. Answer the questions: • Do you have a garden? • Do you often work in the garden? • Do you plant trees every year? • Do you have fruit-trees and flowers in your garden? • Do you enjoy working in the garden? • Do you want to be a gardener ?
