Урок: Практикум по английскому языку Тема: «My future profession» Тип урока: урок формирования речевых навыков и умений по теме Время: 45 минут Цели урока: Познавательный аспект: расширение эрудиции студентов, лингвистического и общекультурного кругозора, знакомство с некоторыми афоризмами об учителе и их интерпретация; Развивающий аспект: развитие навыков восприятия и понимания иноязычной речи на слух, творческих способностей учащихся, способности логически излагать свои мысли по теме; Воспитательный аспект: развитие умения работать в малой подгруппе, развитие положительных личностных качеств (ответственности, чувства взаимопомощи…); Учебный аспект: развитие навыков говорения (монологическая, диалогическая речь), письма, аудирования; Задачи урока - совершенствование речевых умений студентов по теме. Оборудование: Интерактивная доска, компьютер, раздаточный материал (опорные схемы, карточки с заданиями), аудиоматериал. Ход урока I Начало урока 1. Организационный момент (класс делится на 3 подгруппы по 5 студентов). 2. «Мозговой штурм», где студенты называют тему урока. 3. Сообщение целей урока. II Основная часть урока 4. Работа с афоризмами об учителе (чтение и интерпретация афоризмов). 5. Работа с элементами технологии критического мышления «Портрет учителя» 6. Работа с диалогом «The new English teacher» (составление и инсценировка диалога) 7. Проверка домашнего задания. Работа с элементами технологии проблемного обучения. Решение педагогических ситуаций. 8. Релаксационный момент. Прослушивание песни, посвящённой учителю «You have made a difference». Позитивный настрой на завершение урока. III Заключительный этап 9. Подведение итога урока, рефлексия. 10. Выставление оценок. 11. Задание на дом. Open lesson Lesson: English Practice Theme: My future profession Procedure 1. Organization moment -Good morning my dear students, our respectable guest. I welcome you at our English lesson. How are you today? Let me start our lesson. Look at the blackboard. Here you can see a crossword. If you guess these words, you’ll find out the theme of our lesson. Let’s start. If you know the word, write it on the board. 2. Warm-up: students unriddle the crossword and say the theme of the lesson Crossword: 1. A person who flies airplanes. 2. A person who helps sick people. 3. A person who cooks food. 4. A person who puts out fires. 5. A person who fixes cars. 6. A person who delivers mail. 7. A person who serves people on airplanes. 8. A person who serves food. 9. A person who goes outer space. 10. A person who sings songs. 3. Introduction: - Now, can you guess the theme of our lesson? - You are right, we’ll speak about professions! And what’s your future profession? Aims: Today we’ll do many interesting tasks. We’ll draw the portrait of the ideal teacher, act out dialogues, solve pedagogical situations, and at the end of our lesson we’ll listen and sing a beautiful song devoted to the teacher. Interactive work (Class is divided into 3 groups of 5 persons) 4. Sayings about teachers and teaching. There are many saying about teachers in different languages. Now you can read some of them. Choose two sayings and comment them in English. (group work) English sayings 1. Teaching creates all other professions. 2. What the teacher is, is more important than what he teachers. The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. 5. “Teacher’s portrait” -You have to think about the best teacher and describe using nouns, verbs, adjectives and sayings. Task: -Give 6 nouns, 6 verbs, 6 adjectives, 1 saying describing the best teacher. For example: Teacher 6 nouns A friend, …. 6 verbs teach,…. 6 adjectives kind,…. 1 saying The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book -One person from your group will comment your portrait and fill in the list (Individual, group work). Well done. Now we can see what kind of teacher we should be. 6. Dialogue “The new English teacher” Now we’ve said what kind of perfect teacher should be. Imagine that you are newcomer teachers and you are going to find a job at school. You’ll work in groups. Your task is to make a dialogue between a headmaster/headmistress and you/ a newcomer teacher. (training hand-outs: Dialogue forms) Students work in a group of 5, but 2 students act out.(group, pair work) 7. Checking home task Now you’ve found a job. Now you are school teachers. Working at school you have to solve some pedagogical situations (educative) situations. One person from your group will comment your decision. (Group work, individual) Situations from the text book “Practice course V.D. Arakin” p.36 ex. XIV (Home task) Situation 1 How to encourage a child to make better progress at school? Should parents use: praise, presents, promises of future rewards? Situation 2 Should a child be punished? If not, how to make children obey? Situation 3 Should children be allowed to wear clothes of their own at school? Should boys be allowed to have long hair, girls to use make-up? 8. Listening to the song “You have made a difference” by Brian Asselin for teachers. - Ok, are you tired? You worked hard today and now I want you to relax and listen to a good song Song “You have made a difference” by Brian Asselin for teachers.
