“The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”

Ұлыбритания Біріккен Корольдігі, Британия қалалары туралы оқушы білімін кеңейту 2. Жаттығулар орындату арқылы оқу, жазу, сөйлеу дағдыларын дамыту. 3. Methods: speaking, question-answer, schemes, associations. Visual aids: pictures, cards, an activeboard. The outline of the lesson. 1. Organization moment. - Good morning, children! Today we’ll continue to speak about the UK and generalize the theme. Now look at the map of the UK and say where it is situated and how many parts it consists of. T: 1. Speak about the natural resources. 2. What are the main cities of GB? T – The main cities of GB are London, Edinburgh, Belfast, Strafford-on-Avon, Cardiff. /slide/ London is situated on the both banks of the river Thames. [Temz] One of the main Streets of London is Oxford Street. Barbican Centre – Street. There are beautiful buildings there. 3. Now speak about the capital of Great Britain? It’s Trafalgar Square – Трафалгар алаңы. It’s one of the main streets. It is in the West End of London. It is Admiral Nelson’s column with the figure of the great seaman. Trafalgar Square is the place where mass meetings and demonstrations take place. Brighton is one of the main cities of GB. It’s Stratford – on – Avon. Great English writer, composer, dramatist W.Shakespeare was born there. Edinburgh - a large city. It’s Edinburgh castle. It’s a historic place. T: Now speak about the capital of Great Britain. T: Now let’s do some tasks on the active board. 1. Write the parts of the UK: The UK 2. What kind of city is London? London 3. Complete the table using adjectives.
