Words and expressions. a) play with ball, repeat the expressions (go home, go to school, go swimming, do my homework, play football, watch TV, etc) b) work in pairs, make sentences using the cards (I go home. Presentation. a) Cards (the days of the week) T.- Gr.- P1,P2… b) Say a chant. Ex.2 p.75 (CDs) V . Listening and speaking a) Listen to the text about King Cat's day. Before playing the recording, read through the actions in the chart with the children. Check that they can remember them by holding up Vocabulary Cards. At first, say part of each phrase yourself (e.g. Go to…?) and elicit the rest. Then hold up the cards again and get the children to say the phrases themselves. Ask them to close the books the first time they listen, and then ask what things they remember. b) Work in groups of 3 or 4 , tick the correct day and talk together Play the recording again, and let the children tick their answers. In this case, pause the recording after every few sentences and give them to talk together about their answers. Audioscript Hello! This is King Cat! Let me tell you about my week.
