Обобщающий урок по теме: "London"
| Тема: London Цель: обобщить знания страноведческого материала по теме «London». Задачи: повторить тему в монологических и диалогических высказываниях; познакомить с разнообразными сторонами жизни англичан,используя интернет ресурсы. Оборудование: Интерактивная доска(слайды с портретами президента РК ,экс- премьер министра Великобритании Маргарет Тэтчер,слайды с достопримечательностями Лондона, Музыкальные слайды "Лунная соната" Бетховена, Битлз "Yesterday",90-й сонет В.Шекспира). 1. Оргмомент. Вступительное слово учителя. Our theme is called" London". Our President N.A. Nazarbayev takes care of the development Kazakh, Russian,English languages.He says :"l think that to know English today is absolutely necessary for every educated man, for every good specialist". M.Thatcher says about our president:"Today you creat the foundation for the best life of the future generations.Keep these tasks and you’ll win!” London is the capital of Great Britain.lt is the 7th biggest city of the world.London is one of the most exhilarating cities of the world.lt is the center of British Goverment.The river Thames sweeps through the heart of the city. Great Britain consists of England, Scotland,Wales and Nothern Ireland (a map of Great Britain).The Symbol of England is the Red Rose. 2. Развитие монологической речи (подготовленные ответы учащихся) In the 15th century there was series of wars in England, which were called the Wars of the Roses.They were between the Dukes of Lancaster and the Dukes of York over who should be King.The emblem of Lancaster was the red rose and the emblem of York was the white rose.The Duke of Lancaster won so the emblem of England is the Red rose. The flag of the United Kingdom is called the Union Jack. National flag of the United Kingdom/'Union Jack"consists of three crosses. St.Andrew's cross is the national flag of Scotland. It consists of two diagonal white stripes crossing on a blue background. The flag forms part of the British national flag. St. Patrick’s cross is the national flag of Northern Ireland. It consists of two diagonal red stripes crossing on a white background.lt is part of the Union Jack. St. George's cross is the national flag of England. It consists of a red cross on a white background. The flag is a part of the Union Jack. The Hymn is a patriotic song used for the important state events, (listen to the Hymn of Great Britain) Information about the Royal Arms. The Royal Arms of Great Britain. In the Royal Arms three lions symbolize England. A lion rampant is Scotland,a harp is Ireland. The whole is encircled and supported by a lion and a unicorn. The lion is a symbol of national strength of the British monarchy. The unicorn is a symbol of purity. 3. The Queen is a symbol of the country.(information about the Queen) London has got a lot of places of interest. (Слайды о Лондоне) Buckingham Palace is a wonderful building .The Queen Victoria Memorial is in front of it. It takes you ten minutes to get from this building to Trafalgar Square,the center of London. The Queen of Great Britain lives there. Trafalgar Square is the most beautiful place in London.In the middle of it a monument to Admiral Nelson is situated.The monument includes four bronze lions. There are two fountains in it. St. Paul's Cathedral is one of the greatest English churches.lt is not far from the Tower of London.The famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17th century after Great Fire.lt is a fine building with many columns.ln one of the towers there is one of the largest bells of the world. Westminster Abbey is more than 9 hundred years old. There are many monuments there, many English kings and queens are buried there.lt is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. This church has two towers. The large clock is "Big Ben".You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour in London . The clock and the bell got their names after Sir Benjamin Hall, The members of the British Parliament work in these buildings. Tower of London.One of the old English legends says that London can be the capital of the country rich and great, until twelve black ravents live there, 4. Развитие навыков аудирования Great Britain gave the world a lot of talented people.Many famous writers and poets were born and lived there. But one of the best known English playwrights was W.Shakespeare.He wrote 37 plays and more than 150 sonnets . This monarch ruled for the longest period in the English history for 64 years.(lt is Queen Victoria.) 4. What is the favourite topic to discuss in Great Britain?(lt is the weather.) 5. Where does the British Prime Minister live? (The British Prime Minister lives in the official residence №10 Downing Street, London.) 6. How many bridges are there over the Thames in London? (There are 27 bridges over the Thames in London.) 7. Why is the Westminster Palace clock called "Big Ben?"( it is called so after Sir Benjamin Hall, a big man who was the chief commissioner in 1859.) 8. The symbol of this country is a red rose.(It is England.) 9.lt took Sir Christopher Wren35 years to build this cathedral.(lt is St. Paul's Cathedral.) lO.What is M.
