To be able to use the Past Simple tense, to teach pupils to work creating and introduce new words. 2. To develop pupils speech in speaking, reading writing. 3. To bring up students interest of learning English language. The aids: table “Past Simple”, programmer Baiterek. Method: Combine. The procedure of the lesson. I. Org.moment. Greeting (routing questions). II. Phonetical drill. III. Checking up the home task. p. 108, ex. 2A (to read and translate) p. 109, ex. 2B (vocabulary). IV. Presentation: Pig. Lets read the text. 1. Listen to Michael s letter and read the text. 2. Dear Ally My Granny lives in Scotland. So my family went there for X-mas holidays. We had a nice party – it was fun! We bought a big Christmas tree, decorated it with toys and coloured lights. My Mom cooked a very tasty Christmas dinner – of course, with a roast turkey and a traditional pudding. I sent X- mas cards to all my friends and congratulated all my relatives. I got lot of presents – I found them in my stockings and under the tree in the morning – I got a big red toy – car, a bicycle and an interesting book. Hope, you had a good time, too. You can tell me about it when we meet at school. Now I am going back. See you soon, Michael. 3. Michael wrote a letter to Ally, but he made a lot of mistakes. Find them and correct.
