Theme of the lesson: Days of the week Visual aids: Video, CD, Player, vocabulary cards, a song, a poem, smiles, PB, AB. Aims of the lesson: To practice the Present Simple for routines; to teach the names of the days of the week; to enrich children’s knowledge of vocabulary; to develop their listening , speaking and writing skills; to keep pupil’s interest to learning English. Expecting results: They will practice the Present Simple for routines; they will know the names of the days of the week; they will enrich their knowledge of vocabulary; they will develop their listening , speaking and writing skills. 1.Warm-up: T-Class: A) What is your name?-I am … And you? How old are you? I am … And you? C) How are you?-I am… And you? 2. Checking up the vocabulary: A) a game: “Yes/No”. Do you like milk?- Yes, I do. Etc. 3. Talking about their day: A) Reading the sentences with the help of the teacher Making the sentences by themselves. 4. Chant with me: A) Reading through the words of the chant with the pupils; listening to the player; C) reading and repeating. 5. Writing: Work with the AB. Doing Ex.1, p. 76 6. Work with new words: a) reading through the actions in the chart; b) work with the vocabulary cards; c) listening to the player; d) talking about the things they remember; e) listening to the player once more; f) doing Ex. 2, p. 75 (PB). 7. Phonetic drill: Up and down, Big and small! Round and round, Stand up tall. Up and down, Big and small! Round and round, Kick a ball. 8.
