| Lesson Plan. Theme: "Going shopping" Grade:5th Aim of the lesson: to teach students to work in cooperation Teaching techniques: eliciting pair work group work Materials: cards with the names of the shop, cards with products students will buy and shop assistants will sell. Stages of the lesson: I.Warm-up Phonetic drill A bear and a bunny had plenty of money. They went to the store for carrots and honey. When the bear and the bunny asked for carrots and honey, The man of the store cried: "Where is your money?" How strange and how funny! They really had no money! And that's how they bought their carrots and honey. II.Speaking activity. Teacher: Which of you likes going shopping?Why? How often do you going shopping? Do you go alone or with your friends or parents? III.Shopping role play. Today we're going shopping! There are a lot of different shops alll around our city. Students will go to five shops: a computer shop, a newsagent's, a fruit shop, supermarket, a bookshop. Useful phrases: I'm looking for a... I wonder if you can help me.... How much does it cost? Could you help me, please? etc. FIVE STUDENTS ARE SHOP ASSISTANTS. tHE REST OF THE CLASS ARE CUSTOMERS. tHEY HAVE PAPER WITH THE LISTS OF PRODUCTS THEY NEED TO BUY. While buying students communiczte with each other and the shop assistants. Each student has to buy everything written in the card. IV.Reflexia. Teacher gives small cards and students write their wishes. The may write problems they had while doing the task, whether they like the activity. V.Home task | |
