Today the natural world is threatened as never before. Hundreds of animal species are in danger of becoming extinct. We are going to talk about the problem of relations between man and nature is becoming more and more important. So The theme of our lesson is “LIVING IN DANGER”. We should learn: What are the endangered animals? Why are they endangered? How to help them? Brainstorm - What is the path word of the lesson? What comes to your mind when you hear the word – LIFE? (Cluster) T- What are the 3 basic needs all living things need to survive? (Food, water, shelter) T- What will happen to living things if their needs are not met together? (In danger of dying) III. Revision. T- Before reading and speaking let’s find out some words. a) Match the words with their definitions b) Grammar Work T- What human actions could move a species from endangered to extinct? ( Use the pictures & your imagination to make up sentences in the passive tense for each picture.) c) Speaking Practice. T - What has happened to these animals? Why are they called disappearing and endangered? What are the possible reasons for their disappearance? T-* Now we are going to listen to a radio interview “Animal Countdown” with Tim Collins from “Animal Watch”. * Pre-listening: 1. Look at the picture. What animals are we going to discuss? Please, listen to the interview and tick the R BOX for black rhino and P BOX for giant panda or BOTH BOXES. 3. After- listening: Discuss the questions in pairs. 4. Check your answers with your partner. 5. Compare animals: What do they have in common? What are the differences between them? VI. Reading. T – Speaking about our country, it’s necessary to say about the Red Book. Our country is very large; According to the data of the Book about 800 species of animals are found here. Look at some of them. Pre- reading: T- Today we’re going to read texts about the endangered species in Kazakhstan. T- We are working in 3 groups. Choose your group according to the color of the list with the text. 1. Read your part of the text and fill in the information. 2. Then listen to your partners and fill in their information. 3.
