Урок английского языка в 5 классе по теме «Food» Панчихина Роксана Сергеевна, учитель английского языка ГУ «СОШ № 41», Казахстан, г. Семей. The theme: “Food”. Aim: Teaching new vocabulary on the theme “Food”. Objectives: 1. To teach new vocabulary. 2. To give practice in speaking, reading, listening and writing. 3. To develop attentiveness, tenacious memory and interest to the subject. Materials: interactive board, textbooks, presentation of the new words and tasks. Language structures: Do уоu like lemonade? Vocabulary: chips/crisps, biscuits, orange juice, a cake, tomato juice, coke, a hamburger, lemonade, bread and cheese. Grammar: Present Simple (revision). Introduction: - Good morning children! How are you? Today we shall learn some words on the theme “Food” and we shall play games with these words. Brainstorming Do уоu like lemonade? Do уоu drink lemonade? Do уоu drink Coke? Do уоu like Coke? What's уоur favourite drink? Presentation It’s time to learn some new words on the topic "Food". Look at the pictures and try to match the pictures and the words. (slide 2) (chips/crisps, biscuits, orange juice, a cake, tomato juice, coke, a hamburger, lemonade, bread and cheese). (Students go to the board 1 by 1 and match the pictures and the words.) Were you right or not we’ll know later. Look at the interactive board, try to read the words using transcription. (slides 3-11) Drill the words (slides 3-11) Practice Pre-reading Look at the picture (p.96), predict what will be written in the dialogue. Listen to the text once. Try to remember unknown words. Colin: Do you want some lemonade? Omar: No, thanks. Colin: Do you want some Coke? Omar: Yes, please. I love Coke. Colin: There’s a football match tomorrow. Do you want to come? Omar: Yes, all right. Colin: What about you, Ben? Ben: No, thanks. I’m busy. Omar: What time does it start? Colin: At 4 o’clock. Reading p.97, ex.1 – read the text. Each of you – 1 sentence. (chain reading) Post-reading Name all words you see in the dialogue on the theme “Food”. And now answer the question: What food is healthy? Look at the pictures. Name healthy products. (slides 12-14) Written task Change letters to make words. (slide 15) Use p.97, ex.2 phics - chips okce - cuisibts - nomadele - totoma - iceju - Pair work 1)Find the stranger (slide 16) - chips, biscuits, cake, coke - tomato juice, coke, chips - bread and butter, hamburger, cake - cake, buiscuits, lemonade 2) Hidden food. Find out 5 words.
