Воспитательные: Привитие чувства уважения к традициям и культуре других стран и народов. Развивающие: формирование лексической и социальной компетенции, развитие познавательного интереса учащихся. Оборудование урока: Интерактивная доска, магнитофон. Организационный момент и вступительное слово учителя. Teacher: Dear friends and guests! Welcome to our lesson! The theme of our lesson is “Monarchy. The British Royal Family.” (на интерактивной доске появляются тема, флаг и корона монархии Соединенного Королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии) Before starting our lesson we’ve collected a lot of interesting information and today we are going to present you the British Royal Family. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has a very long history, its own traditions, customs and culture. In Britain traditions play a very important role in the life of people mostly because the British are very conservative. They are very proud of their traditions and customs and keep them carefully. The history of English Monarchy. Let's begin with the history of British Monarchy. First Pupil: The British Monarchy is the oldest institution of government in the United Kingdom. It is four hundred years older than the Parliament. Queen Elizabeth II, herself came from the Saxon Monarchs who united England in the ninth century. The Queen reigns but she does not rule. As Head of State, The Queen has close contact with the Prime Minister and other ministers. She sees Cabinet papers and records of Cabinet Committee meetings. Her Majesty acts as host to the Head of State of Commonwealth and other countries and presents honours to people who have shown themselves in public life. Her Majesty is Head of Navy, Army and Air Forces of Britain. 4. Queen Elizabeth II Second Pupil: (на интерактивной доске появляются слайды с фотографиями королевы) Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 in London. She is the first child of George VI and Elizabeth, the first granddaughter of King George V and Queen Mary. She was вaptised on 29 May 1926 in the private chapel of Buckingham Palace. The Queen was educated at home with her younger sister Princess Margaret under the supervision of their mother and their governess. Princess Elizabeth came to throne on 6 February 1952, following the death of her father. Her coronation took place in Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953. The Queen spends a lot of time in an office reading and signing state papers. She never gives interviews. The Queen likes to spend time with her grandchildren, watch horse-racing, go for a walk and watch TV. Her title in the UK is " Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith." 5. Prince Philip, the Queen's husband. (на интерактивной доске появляются слайды с фотографиями Принца Филиппа) Third Pupil: Prince Philip was born on 10 June 1921 in Greece. He was the only son of Prince Andrew of Greece. The Prince came to Britain at an early age to be educated. He attended a school in Scotland and the Royal Naval College. During the Second World War he served at the sea. He is a qualified pilot. Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip got married in 1947 in Westminster Abbey. His full name is His Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Sometimes he gives interviews. The sphere, of his interests is very wide: environment, wildlife, science, technology and sport. The Prince plays an active part in national life and acts as president or patron of some 800 organizations. The Prince is a keen sportsman. 6.
