| Урок английского языка 6 класс, Аяпова Т. Учитель Евдокимова И.Э. ШГ№14 г. Астана The theme: It's an interesting place! Goal: To develop abilities in using new Lexis and information in speech. Language learning objectives: • To help students to familiarize themselves with new vocabulary • To give students extra fluency in expressing own ideas and opinions with modal verb should • To improve speaking, reading, writing skills • To improve pair, group work skills Type of the lesson: Lesson of using knowledge and skills Materials: poster, CD, cards, paper, markers, chalk, Outline: I. Organization moment. Tasks of the lesson. II. Warm-up: Match the words with their transcriptions and read. nature culture picture future agriculture mixture lecture structure nurture literature III. Pre- reading task: Answer the questions about environment. - In what country do you live? - Which season is it at the moment? - Is the weather hot and sunny today? - Is it windy today? - Do you live near any mountains? - Do you live near a river? - Is there any air pollution where you live? IV. Reading: - Read the title and say about what is this text; - Read the text. Check the meaning of new words in your dictionary. - Find the next expressions and read them: древний город на востоке Англии около ста тысяч население он знаменит потому что тёплый летом и холодный зимой особенно в центре города - Read the text again - Are the sentences true or false? Correct the false sentences. Ex.4 p.89 V. Look the film about Cambridge Do you like this film? What can you say about Cambridge university? VI. Writing. In groups write 5 or 6 sentences about your city. Then compare with other groups. Read. VII. Presentation. Modal verb should. Role play. What advice can you give about visiting your country in summer? Here are some questions of a foreigner, try to answer them. Ex.9 p.89 S1- a foreigner S2 – you 1) What clothes should/ shouldn’t I take? 2) What special places should I see? 3) What sort of things can I do? 4) What food do you recommend? 5) Where should I stay? 6) Is your city good for shopping? Remember Should is used for advice Read the Grammar Reference on page 214. VIII. H\t page 90 – Good manners Put A, B, or C in the boxes. A = important B = old fashioned, but ok C = silly Write a good guide for boys. IX. Relax. | |
