Bring up their interests, to appreciate importance of professions Lesson phase I.Introduction. – Good afternoon, guys! Glad to see you! Take your seats. Today we’re going to speak about the things which will happen to you in the future. I think it will be very interesting. Today at the lesson we shall: (slide 1) (the students pronounce themselves) II.Phonetic drill. First of all we are to guess the word hidden here, finding the missing letters of the following words. And at the same time we’ll revise the words we have learnt before. (slide 2) 1)the students are to name the word 2)translate 3)read in chorus all the words III.Speaking drill. Tell me, please. T – P What will be the next month? What holidays will be next month? What will you give your mother for Women’s Day? What will you do on Nauryz? IV.Revision of grammar. At the previous lessons we learnt about Future Simple Tense. Now, let’s revise everything we know. (slide 3) (the students should tell the theme themselves according to the slides) V.Code game. One pupil says the numbers and the other will say the formed sentence and corrects the mistakes if there are any. P1 – P2 ( slide 4) VI.Listening and speaking. Guys, I have a good news for you. I’ve received a letter from London. A girl, named Jane sent it to you. She is also in the 6th form like you are. Let’s listen. Hello, my friends. I am writing this letter from London. My name is Jane. I am 13 years old. I study at Grammar school. I want to share with you my idleas concerning profession. There are a lot of professions nowadays. But my dream is to become a doctor. Doctor is a noble and an important profession. When I’m twenty five, I’ll be happy when people of my country are healthy and wealthy. As they say “ Health is above wealth”. What about you, my friends? What will you be when you are twenty five? Love, Jane. Ok, pupils we have read about Jane’s profession. Can you say? 1)the teacher reads the letter 2)the students are to answer the questions: T – P What’s the name of the girl? How old is she? What will Jane be when she is 25? How will she be happy? VII.Fortune – teller game. Jane told you about her future and now you'll get to know about your future. Here is a fortune – teller and she’ll show it to you. You are just to make up correct sentences. (slide 5) VIII.Game “Pick up cards”. The students are to write on a sheet of paper what they will do in 2 years then fold it and put into a box. When everything is mixed they pull out one and try to find the person who wrote it asking questions “Will you….?” P1 – P2 (slide 20) IX.Test. (in a written form) Олар ертен не істейді? We skate every day. ………………………………………..tomorrow. 11. He skates every day. …………………………………….......tomorrow. X.Conclusion. So today we have revised how to use Future Tense.
