Plan of the lesson on theme sport
| «SPORT» Сыныбы 6 «v» Мұғалім: Дюйсекина Айжан Theme: Sport Aims of the lesson: - to get full information about sport and its role in our life - to improve pupils’ listening, speaking, reading, writing skills - to enrich pupils’ vocabulary, reading texts, dialogues and analyzing them - to teach the students to express their opinions about the role of sport in our life Equipments: an interactive blackboard, computer, handouts The type of the lesson: traditional The procedure of the lesson: I Organization moment 1) Greeting - Good morning, students! - Good morning, teacher! - How are you? - We are fine and you? - I am also fine. -What is the weather like today? -Who is on duty today? -You may sit. 2) Warm up stage. - We are funny - We are crazy - And sometimes - We are lazy II Check up the home task III New theme. Dear children today we shall speak about sport. Speak about your favourite sport. What is your favourite sport? Why do you like it? What sport do you go in for? -First of all let’s discuss English proverb “In sports and journeys men are known”. How do you understand the proverb? -Read the texts about English and Kazakh national sport games. After reading the text, answer to the following questions: -What are the national games of our country? -Do you like them? -What other national games do you know? -What are the differences between two countries? -What’s common about these games? Compare them and discuss 1) Now I offer you to work in small groups (3 pupils). Two of them must be pressmen and interview your classmate who will be a famous champion. Do you understand the rule? Let’s dream! The first group Champion - Michael Jordan The second group Champion - Andrey Arshavin The third group Champion - Cristiano Rolando The fourth group Champion - David Beckham Discuss in group and then present it to your classmates. IV Conclusion Our lesson has come to its end. We’ve turned our thoughts to sport in our life. And I believe that you will agree with me that sport plays an important role in our life. Now please write down your home task. Your home task is to write a composition on theme “My favourite sport game”. Dear children, you all have worked hard at the lesson. You get “5”.
