The theme of lesson: do you help in the house Form: 5th Objective: students will be able to ask and talk about jobs in the house Vocabulary: always, sometimes, usually, often, seldom, never. Anticipated problems: students may have problems with the pronunciation of the new words Solution of the problem: cards, blackboard, fluency drill Procedure 1. Warm -up: to involve students into the lesson Good morning! How are you? Let’s listen and do. (Students sing and do the actions with the cassette) (приложение №1) 2. Presentation: to present the new words What do you do every day? Do you help your mother? Look at the blackboard What do the underlined words mean? Work in pairs. Use your dictionaries. (Guessing the meanings of the new words.) (приложение №2) What is the theme of our lesson? Listen and repeat after me. Look the diagram and put the underlined adverbs in the correct place on it. Work in pairs. (приложение №3) Check yourselves. Use the key. (приложение №4) Look at the diagram, remember words. Close the words and write them down in your copybooks. Exchange your copybooks and check! Put marks (приложение №4) 3. Practice: to talk about jobs in the house. Answer the questions. Do you make your bed? How often do you make your bed? Do you tidy your room? How often do you tidy your room? Do you lay the table? How often Do you help your mother? How often? Do you take the rubbish out? How often Do you do the washing up? How often? Well now let’s do fluency drill. Work in pairs. Look, remember and say (Students ask and talk about jobs in the house) (приложение №5) Do you like questionnaires? Work in groups of four and answer for you. (приложение №6) Open your copybooks and answer these questions in writing. (Students write about jobs in the house) 4. Reflection: to monitor what students have learnt at the lesson What new have you learnt at the lesson? Your home task is to learn the words.
