Theme: My generation Цель: Научить вести предметный разговор по теме урока. Задачи: Познакомить учащихся с особенностями молодёжного движения в последней трети прошлого столетия. Выяснить их взгляды на проблему «отцов и детей» Учить выражать собственное мнение Развивать навыки устной речи, аудирования, мышление, интерес к изучаемой проблеме. Воспитывать уважение к старшим, терпимость к окружающим. Оборудование: Компьютерная презентация иллюстраций, изображающих представителей хиппи, панков, рейверов, музыки 70-90 годов прошлого века, высказываний известных людей, психологический тест-вопросник, раздаточный материал. 1. Today we’ll speak about our generation and the youth of the 70s, 80s, 90s. By the way, what do you know about them? How did people call youth groups who a) wore leather jackets, brightly spiked hair b) wore loose T-shirts, jeans, listened to techno music c) believed in spiritual things? 2. If you don’t know, read some information about them, - retell, answering the questions a. Why did they appear? b. What clothes did they wear? c. What music did they listen? d. How did they live? - draw pictures of young people in clothes of that time. ( according to the text p.117) ( работа в группах) ( презентация иллюстраций и музыки того времени) 3. Read quotations of several famous people about the youth and express your opinion. - The end of life is sad, the middle age is nothing, the beginning is funny. (Volter) - Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone. (N.Drozdov) - Youth! It’s a rising wave. The wind is behind. The rocks are ahead. (Wordsworth) - At the age of 20 you are sensible, at 30 – talented, at 40 – wise. (B.Grasian) - In each country young people are foreigners. (A.Stal) - You study when you are young but comprehend when you are old. (M.Ashenbakh) 4. Answer the questions and comment your answers. (возможна как фронтальная, так и групповая работа) - Do you help your parents about the house? - Do you often speak to them about your problems? - Do you know anything about their colleagues? - Do you know if they have got any illnesses? - Do you give them presents on New Year’s day? - Do you follow their advice? - Do you disturb them if they are busy? - Do you spend weekends with your parents? - Do you ask parents’ permission if you want to do something? - Do you feel offended if they can’t give you money you ask for? - Do you at least sometimes agree with your parents? - Do you often lie? According to your answers many of you share your parents’ interests, duties and take care of them. That’s great! 5. If you were parents what - would you let your teenagers do - wouldn’t you let them do? You may use information given in ex. 5 p.119 Give arguments. 6. Read some information about living conditions of English young people who leave their homes and try to live by themselves. (ex.7 p.120) Learn some new words (accommodation, bedsitters, squatting) Answer the questions: - Why do young people leave home? - Where do our students live? - What are the problems of our young people?
