Внеклассное мероприятие на тему: "Hollidays of Britain"
| Class: 5 The theme of the lesson: “English Year”. Objectives: 1. To learn English holidays. 2. To practice speaking, words, develop orally speech. 3. To develop interest to English culture. Type of the lesson: Presentation English holidays. Literature: Opportunities. Beginner. English together 2. English И.Н. Верещагина. Materials: cards, calendar of English year, tables. Organization moment: Good morning! Sit down, please! Let’s begin our lesson. Today we speak about English holidays. We work in groups. Warm up: Sid down in groups. Take stickers with symbols holidays. Ex. – New Year You must write some new words about New Year in the toys of Christmas tree.  Holidays: New Year, Easter, St. Valentine’s Day. Presentation: You must tell me about holidays. On the board you can see the flower, you must take one petal where write holiday, tell about this holiday. Practice: Let’s speak about your favourite holiday. Ex. What is your favourite holiday? My favourite holiday is … Now take the tables and write favourite holiday of your friends. Ask the question and answer. Work in pairs. Ex. Sveta’s favourite holiday is Easter. On this day children help at home and give or send cards and presents. Mothers like this holiday. #2. On this day people usually visit their friends. There is a lot of dancing and eating. People bring a piece of coal for good luck. #3. People send cards to people they love. They should not write their names on the cards. Those who get them must guess who sent them. #4. On this day children eat chocolate eggs. Sometimes parents hide eggs in the house or in the garden and children look for them. #5. On this day they say ghosts and witches come out. Children make lanterns out of pumpkins. Some people have parties and dress as witches and ghosts on this day. Evaluation: Today we learn English holidays, we know how English people celebrate their holidays. Now, you take stickers and write what do you like or dislike at our lesson?
