| Урок в 8 классе по программе: «Духовное воспитание учащихся через изучение литературы Англии и США» Цель:. расширение знаний учащихся о творческой деятельности поэтов, развитие творческой активности и заинтересованности при презентации изученного материала , привитие любви к поэзии и литературе. I. Today we would like to show you the extract of the lessons on the theme “Love for motherland in the verses of R. Burns, G. Byron.” II. What association have you got with the word “motherland”? (The word is written on the blackboard. Pupils write down the associations on the blackboard. Family Nature Traditions Customs Motherland Love The place where you were born Parents III. The next task. Finish the sentence. My Motherland is … (is written on the blackboard) (Pps write down their sentences and then read them to the class.) Write down a few sentences - how you understand the word “motherland”, what s motherland for you… IV. Teacher :Yes, motherland is in the heart of each person. Many poets express their love in their works. Do you know such poets? Of course < you do. Name, please, some of them and some words from their poems, if you remember .(Pps name the poets and recite the poems.) Can you recite some lines from the poems? V. Teacher :On the lessons of English literature we spoke about the famous English poets R. Burns and George Gordon Byron. Let’s remember them. Say a few words about them and recite the poems, which you like most. Robert Burns. (portrait is on the blackboard) The great poet of the Scotch people, Robert Burns, was born on the 25 th of January, 1759 in a small clay-build cottage at Alloway . Song- writer, satirist, narrator, poet, celebrator of friendship, of love and of hate. Burns was also a brilliant talker and an intelligent observer and, sometimes , a dangerous personality. He loved his native land and his people. Scotland occupies a prominent place in Burn’s creative works. He sang love, gaiety, nature.(pictures on the blackboard) .Pupils recite the poems. a) My heart in the Highlands… b) A Red, Red, Rose. c) The winter of life. G.G. Byron (a portrait is on the blackboard) Byron was a very bright person. Being extremely popular among common people he was hated by his own class of aristocrats. Finally he had to leave England. But his love to his motherland was seen in his poems. Byron remains one of the most popular poets both at home and abroad. Lermontov loved Byron’s poems and made wonderful translations of one of them. Pushkin paid tribute to him in the poem “To the Sea”. Byron’s “Motherland” inspired Tchaikovsky to compose a symphony. 1) A poem “Twilight”. VI.
