«When have you got Computer Studies?»
| I. Opening Remarks: Good morning! Sit down, please! What date is it today? What day is it today? What season is it now? Do you like winter? Ok! Today at the lesson we’ll revise all our new words, make up dialogues, play a game and sing a song. Now, let’s begin our lesson. II. Phonetic drill: Let’s revise the words from the previous lessons. Listen and repeat after me. English [`ingliS] French [frentS] Russian [`rAsn] Kazakh [kAzah] Maths [mәӨz] Music [mjuzik] History [histri] Art [a:t] III. Checking up their hometask. Writing their time-tables. IV. Work on grammar and vocabulary. a) Answer the questions using their time-tables. -When have you got Computer Studies? -We have got Computer Studies on Tuesday? -When have you got English? - We have got English on …. . b) Pair work. Make up a dialogue. - How many lessons have you got on Monday? - We have got 6 lessons. - What are they? - They are: Maths, Kazakh, Russian, Art, History and P.E. V. Work on the dialogue on p.82 a) Read and translate the dialogue. b) Look at the active board and answer the questions. -What subjects do you like? -I like English, Russian and History. -Do you like English? - Yes, I like English. No, I don’t like English. - What subjects does he/she like? - He/She likes English, Russian and History. c) Pair work. Make up a short dialogue. f’g: -Hello! -Hi! -What subjects do you like? -I like English. Maths and Kazakh. And what subjects do you like? -I like Kazakh, Russian and History. -Are you good at English? -Yes, I am. No, I’m not. -Do you like English? - Yes, I like English. No, I don’t like English. VI. Consolidation work .Work on the names of the professions and the subjects. a) Look at the slides and answer the questions. -What does he/she do? -He/ She is a teacher. a driver. an operator. an engineer. a lawyer. a housewife. a doctor. a bank manager. a dentist. a secretary. a musician. a pop-star. a film-star. -What does your mother do? -She is a doctor. - What does your father do? -He is a doctor. b) Pair work. Answer the questions. -What do you want to be? - I want to be a teacher. -I want to be a pop-star. -I want to be a ……… .. VII. Playing games. Checking their aural and visual memory. Group work. A game “Clap or snap”. If I say the name of the subject you’ll snap your fingers, if I say the name of the profession you’ll clap your hands. A game “Who is quick?”. There are the names of the subjects and professions on the board. I say the word in Kazakh and you must find it in English and touch it quickly. Team with the great number of points is the winner. VIII. A song “How are you?” Today is Monday, Today I’m sleepy! How are you? I’m sleepy too. Today is Tuesday, Today I’m OK! How are you? I’m OK, too. Today I feel, HAPPY! NOT ANGRY! Today is Wednesday, Today I’m bored, How are you? I’m bored, too. Today is Thursday, Today I’m hungry, How are you? I’m hungry, too. Today I feel, HAPPY! NOT ANGRY! Today is Friday, Today I’m thirsty, How are you? I’m thirsty too. Today is Saturday, Today I’m hot, How are you? I’m hot, too. Today is Sunday, Today I’m happy, How are you? I’m happy, too.
