The theme : Kazakhstan is my motherland The aims of the lesson: a) to develop speaking skills b) to enlarge pupils vocabulary c) to teach to express their own opinion. The process of the lesson. 1. The quotation of our lesson is HE WHO LOVES NOT HIS COUNTRY CAN LOVE NOTHING BYRON Put it into the Reported Speech. 2. Read this quotation again . What do you think our lesson will be about? Our students will tell us about The State Flag and The State Emblem The State Flag The sun as the symbol of peace is against a blue background. You can see the Eagle – symbol of Freedom under the sun. There is a traditional Kazakh ornament on the left. The State Emblem There is Shanyrak – a circle on the top of yurta in the center of the State Emblem on the blue background. It is 3 beams lying across symbolize the four parts of the world. The sun rays are spreading all around the Shanyrak. The horses Tulpars complete the ensemble. There is a star on the top and the inscription K-n below. The State Emblem is made in gold and blue colours. The State Anthem -Who wrote the State Anthem? 6. Learn to read these proper name Central Asia Caspian Sea Siberia Altai Mountains Irtish Syr Darya China Continental Environmental Heavy industry 7. Work in pairs. Read the text in your books, answer the questions 1 group- Where is the Republic of Kazakhstan situated? (show on the map) What is the size of the area of Kazakhstan? What can you say about the population of the Republic? What is the capital of K-n. 2 group- What can you say about industry? What problems does the country suffer? Does agriculture take very important sector in the national economy? What is grown by the people of the country in the agricultural sector? 3 group - What is the climate of the country like? 8. Tell us what information could you find in the text. 9. Listening Listen to the text and answer the questions What kind of products does the Kazakh food consist of? What Kazakh sour milk products do you know? What Kazakh meat meal do you know? What is the main Kazakh drink? 10.Look at our plan. Tell us about K-n using these support words.
