Практическая - создать условия для совершенствования навыков аудирования, монологической и диалогической речи, для формирования критического мышления у учащихся. 2. Воспитательная - формировать умения участвовать в групповой деятельности. 3. Общеобразовательная – Формировать умения применять знания в альтернативных ситуациях. 4. Развивающая – совершенствовать умения анализа и самоанализа. ПЛАН УРОКА: I. Organizing moment. Good morning, children. Sit down. I am glad to see you. II. Introduction to the topic of the lesson. a) To learn the topic of today’s lesson you should do the following task: translate from Russian into English Терминал - terminal Радуга - rainbow Приключение - adventure Вулкан - volcano Извержение - eruption Ухаживать - look after Искать - look for Независимый - independent Природный - natural Ущелье - gorge So, what is the topic? (TRAVELLING) b) Let’s write your associations with this word. travelling What is good/bad about travelling? (ответы учащихся) c) Discussion of the proverbs in groups. • So many countries, so many customs. • When in Rome do as the Romans do. d) Let’s read some tips for travelers and add some more. Ex. 19 p. 40 III. Audition. a) Pre-listening activity. New vocab: balloon, ballooning, balloonist, skyward, to invent (отработка произношения хором и в парах) b) Listening. Now I want you to listen to the text about one more way of travelling. Ballooning or aerostation becomes more and more popular. A balloon flies because it is filled with hot-air which lifts it skyward. A hot- air balloon was invented by two French brothers Montgolfier in the 18th century. The first balloonists were a duck, a rooster and a sheep. But after an eight-minute flight, the balloon returned the first aeronauts back to earth. The first flight carrying human passengers was made in November 1783. The age of aeronauts arrived. When listening for the second time students do the following tasks: 1. Change the underlined words into synonyms. Give a title to the text. 2. Role-play using situations written on the cards. Dramatize the situations: Brothers Montgolfier are going to send their first hot-air balloon skyward. Dramatize the situations: The neighbours of brothers Montgolfier watch them sending animals in a hot-air balloon skyward. Dramatize the situations: The animals which are going to be send upwards in a hot-air balloon. 3. Comment on the questions: • Can we consider ballooning an extreme sport? • Why do you think people go in for ballooning? • Would you like to go in for ballooning? Why? IV. Reflexive stage.
